Inside Sales at RNDC was more than a department. It was a place where growth happened, relationships were built, and people were allowed to learn, lead, and become stronger versions of themselves both personally and professionally.

Every day, our team showed up with purpose. We learned more about the world of wine and spirits, from how wine is made to how brands are built, how supplier stories come to life, and how meaningful customer relationships are created. We supported sales, strengthened communication, and helped bring supplier priorities directly to the customers who needed them most.

But what made Inside Sales special was never just the work. It was the people.

Our leaders created an atmosphere rooted in growth, progress, and integrity. They encouraged our teams to ask questions, take ownership, and continue learning. They helped create a culture where feedback mattered, challenges were solved together, and support extended beyond the professional side of the job. At times, we helped each other through difficult moments personally, too. That is what made this team different.

We were coworkers, but many of us became friends. We were a sales team, but we also became a support system.

Showing Up for Our Communities

One of the strongest examples of our team culture was the way Inside Sales showed up outside of the office. Across multiple markets, our team volunteered, donated, and gave back to the communities around us.

In Ashland, Virginia, the RNDC Connect team volunteered with Feed More, helping support an organization focused on providing meals and food assistance to neighbors in need. What started as a simple opportunity to serve became something bigger. Team members came together, gave their time, and helped make a real impact in their local community.

In Phoenix, Arizona, Inside Sales team members volunteered with St. Mary’s Food Bank, where one district manager and twelve inside sales representatives helped assemble and pack emergency food boxes. Alongside a larger volunteer group, the team helped create thousands of food boxes for families and individuals in need during the holiday season.

In Atlanta, the team also came together through a clothing drive for homeless children. This effort reflected the heart of Inside Sales: when there was a need, our team responded. Associates donated clothing and helped support children who needed care, warmth, and community support. It was another reminder that service was not just something we talked about. It was something we practiced.

These moments mattered because they brought our team closer together. Volunteering gave us a chance to step away from the daily rush of calls, emails, reports, and campaigns, and reconnect with something bigger than ourselves. It reminded us that teamwork does not stop at business goals. It also lives in compassion, generosity, and shared purpose.

Supporting Suppliers Through Storytelling and Sales

Inside Sales also played an important role in supporting RNDC’s supplier partners. Through marketing email campaigns, digital catalogs, product spotlights, educational content, and Supplier Trainings and tastings, the team helped bring supplier brands directly to market in a meaningful way.

We did more than send emails and make calls. We helped tell stories.

Supplier campaigns gave our customers a reason to engage, learn, and buy, and supplier trainings offered education on the products we sell to our buyers. Whether promoting seasonal priorities, new items, cocktail inspiration, wine education, or brand features, Inside Sales helped connect the right message to the right audience. These campaigns supported supplier visibility, strengthened customer awareness, and helped push sales forward.

One strong example of this storytelling was the article created with Destiny Santos for Deep Eddy Vodka and Heaven Hill Brands, Where Community Meets the Back Bar. That piece highlighted how brand success is built through relationships, community, and authentic account-level support. It showcased the kind of supplier partnership that goes beyond product placement and focuses on building long-term loyalty.

That same spirit carried through our broader marketing efforts. Inside Sales helped suppliers stay visible, helped customers discover opportunities, and helped connect brands with the accounts that could bring them to life.

Going Above and Beyond for Customers

At the center of everything was the customer.

Inside Sales representatives were often the voice customers heard when they needed help placing an order, finding a product, solving an issue, understanding a delivery schedule, or navigating eRNDC. Our team did not just take calls. We solved problems.

We helped customers find what they needed, followed up when something went wrong, and worked across departments to get answers. We supported accounts through product availability questions, delivery concerns, order updates, new account needs, and platform guidance. When customers were frustrated, our team listened. When they needed urgency, our team moved quickly. When they needed clarity, our team helped make the process easier.

That level of support is what made Inside Sales so valuable. The team became a bridge between customers, suppliers, sales teams, customer care, operations, and leadership. We helped keep business moving, but we also helped customers feel seen and supported.

Going above and beyond was not a slogan. It was part of the daily work.

A Place Where People Grew

Inside Sales became a place where people developed confidence, skills, and leadership abilities. Reps learned how to manage customer relationships, understand supplier priorities, communicate professionally, and think strategically. Many gained a deeper understanding of wine, spirits, sales technology, market differences, and the full customer experience.

The team also learned how to adapt. Through change, transition, shifting priorities, and evolving business needs, Inside Sales continued to show up. We supported each other through challenges, celebrated wins, and kept moving forward.

That growth did not happen by accident. It happened because leaders created space for people to learn. It happened because teammates helped each other. It happened because the culture encouraged ownership, integrity, and progress.

More Than a Team

The story of RNDC Inside Sales is a story of people who cared.

We cared about our customers. We cared about our suppliers. We cared about our communities.

We cared about each other.

From volunteering with Feed More in Ashland, to packing food boxes at St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix, to collecting clothing for homeless children in Atlanta, this team showed heart. From supplier marketing campaigns to customer support, this team showed commitment. From professional growth to personal friendships, this team showed what happens when people are given a culture where they can thrive.

Inside Sales at RNDC was not just a place where work got done.

It was a place where people grew, where service mattered, where relationships were built, and where a team became something much bigger than a department.
